How to create a sales receipt
Start with a layout from the gallery. Add your logo and pick a header and color; you can change the design without retyping your details.
Add the seller and buyer, then list the purchased items, quantities and prices. Check Amount paid and record the payment method and transaction date in the notes.
Open the PDF preview to check the finished pages, not just the form. Download the file when it is ready, then attach it to your own email or print a copy.

What to include in a sales receipt
A sales receipt records a purchase and the payment received for it. The buyer should be able to identify the items, the seller and the amount paid.

Add your business details and the buyer information needed for the sale.

Use a unique receipt reference and record when the sale took place. Note a separate payment date if needed.

How is a sales receipt different from an invoice?
A sales receipt records the purchase and payment received. An invoice requests payment. Choose the document that matches the stage of your transaction.
Can I record card or bank-transfer payments?
Yes. Record the amount received, then add the payment method and transaction reference in the notes. The tool does not connect to a payment provider to verify the transaction.
Will this page remember my draft?
No. The form stays in this open page and is not saved as an account document. Download your PDF before leaving; use the Web app for saved records.
Can I show a partial payment on the receipt?
Yes. Enter the purchase total through the items and change Amount paid to the actual payment received. The remaining balance will reflect the unpaid amount.
