Find your MCP settings

Codex

Open Settings, find MCP servers and choose Add server. Enter the connection details, save, then choose Authenticate.

Open Customize → Connectors → + → Add custom connector. Enter the name and server URL, then add and connect.

Enable Developer mode in Settings → Security and login. Open Plugins → +, enter the server URL and complete the connection.

Allow the actions you need for one company. Disconnect the assistant from your account settings at any time.

Keep control of payments

The assistant can record received payments and read balances. It cannot take a card payment, transfer funds or issue a refund.

Keep everything together

Documents share the same account and company records as Web, iOS and Android. Your existing team permissions still apply.

What is MCP?

MCP connects an AI assistant to external tools. Pocket Invoice’s server lets your assistant work with your invoices and business records after you authorize access.

Which assistant can I use?

Codex has been tested. For another assistant, check that it supports remote MCP servers using Streamable HTTP and OAuth. Use the same server address shown above.

How is access controlled?

Sign in through OAuth, choose one company and approve permissions. The assistant cannot exceed your account or team access. Sending starts disabled, and every send requires confirmation.

Do my account limits still apply?

Yes. MCP uses your existing Pocket Invoice account. Its document, storage and membership limits still apply.

Can the assistant charge or refund my customers?

No. Recording a payment updates the invoice’s payment history and balance; it does not move money.

How do I disconnect?

Revoke the connection in Pocket Invoice’s AI connections. The revoked connection stops accessing your account.
