Pest control SEO: answer the questions behind the enquiry

A customer searching for termite inspection needs different information from someone arranging routine pest visits. Give each service a clear explanation, a genuine operating area and a practical next step.

Pest control SEO combines accurate local business information, pages about the services actually offered and answers that help customers prepare for an inspection. Google describes local ranking through relevance, distance and prominence; improving a page does not remove the effect of location.

Keep the business profile consistent with the real service

For an eligible Google Business Profile, use the real business name, suitable categories, current hours, contact details and service area. Follow Google's representation rules when customers are served at their properties. Do not add extra keywords to the business name or create virtual offices to appear in more towns.

Request honest reviews after completed service and respond without disclosing a customer's address, infestation or private circumstances. Keep the website and business profile aligned on contact and service details.

Build pages around different customer decisions

Create a separate location page only when it has useful information specific to that area. Repeating the same paragraphs with a new town name gives readers little help deciding whether you can serve them.

Answer questions without making unsupported treatment claims

Useful questions include “What does the inspection include?”, “Is a follow-up visit included?” and “What information do you need to prepare a quote?” State the answer close to the heading, then explain relevant conditions.

Example answer: what affects a rodent-control quote?

The price depends on the inspection findings, property access, the agreed control method, any exclusion or repair work, and the number of follow-up visits. The written quote should separate the initial service from later visits and state whether materials and approved repairs are included.

Have qualified personnel review treatment, re-entry and pesticide information against the relevant product instructions and local requirements. A marketing page should not invent a universal safety interval or a guaranteed treatment outcome.

Keep the same useful content accessible to search and AI

Use descriptive page titles, a clear main heading, readable text, links to related services and original images with accurate descriptions. Important answers should appear as text, not only inside a picture. Make contact and quote actions usable on a phone.

Check indexing and crawl access in your search tools. Structured data should describe the visible page accurately. Google's guidance for AI features says no special AI file or new schema type is required; normal search eligibility and useful content still apply.

For AI-search coverage, examine actual questions and cited sources, then improve a page where it lacks a relevant answer, example or verified explanation. Adding repetitive FAQs is not a substitute for a complete service page.

Follow an enquiry through to completed work

Record the enquiry source, area, requested service, inspection date, quote number and outcome. In a hypothetical month, 30 search enquiries produce 18 suitable inspection requests and nine approved jobs. Those stages explain the result more clearly than reporting 30 “leads” alone.

Keep marketing records separate from the documents that describe the job. After inspection, write the scope and visit schedule into the quote. Record approved extras and actual payments on the later invoice.
